7 Tips To Be A Leader

Jim Citrin from Yahoo Finance wrote an interesting piece on starting a new job. I think that the point of view is more inline with a managerial/leadership type role, but then again, my idealism has taught me to believe that everyone is capable of leading. As a result, leading will offer many strong players in a team. Beginning his article, some statistics were introduced, which gave facts that were not surprising, but in fact something I’ve witnessed all too often. I just seemed to overlook this fact and realize that there are a lot of opportunities if you allow yourself to analyze the working environment as a bigger picture.

In over three years of research on leadership transitions, I’ve come to recognize that getting off to a strong start establishes the foundation upon which long-term success is built. Done well, it creates momentum for the next 100 days, and 100 days after that, all the way to enduring success.
